Itinerary – Salina di Cervia

Salina di Cervia is located in the south-eastern part of Romagna, west of the city of Cervia, 1,600 meters from the Adriatic Sea and it’s the southernmost area of the “wetlands” system protected by the Delta del Po Park. This geographic position, in the south-eastern part of the Po Valley, between the northern Apennines to the west and the Adriatic sea to the east, places it on the migration route of the birds that follow the Adriatic route. therefore, the salt mine is one of the most important areas in Italy and the Mediterranean for the nesting, staging and wintering of waterfowl.
